Happy ONE year Anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Plata! I went to college with Ashley and loved hearing about her relationship with Josh. These two are perfect together. So supportive, fun, and sweet together. Their wedding at Palma Sola Botanical Park in Bradenton was set and ready for their gorgeous outdoor ceremony when Florida skies let loose and flooded their wedding day. “No biggie, we are still getting married today!” said the sweet couple. And it was such a beautiful day!! To celebrate their first year anniversary, Ashley and Josh looked through their wedding photos and found a few that are most meaningful to them. Loved Ashley’s initial response: “Is 9 too many? bahahahaha. How do you pick your favorite wedding pictures? I feel like every picture tells its own story about our special day and I can honestly say I love every single one. BUT, if we were to choose they are as follows :)”
(Left) “First kiss as husband and wife. How could this not be one of our favorites. Plus you get a little sneak peak of our FABULOUS guests who huddled inside the house behind us to support us since we had no where for them to sit due to the weather.”
(Right) “This is MY (Ashley) absolutely favorite
“I love this picture not only because it is unique and all of our favorite people who have helped shape us to become the people we are today are in it. But because it captures the perfect imperfectness of the day and it also reminds me of how awesome Michelle was during this whole process. Every time I see this picture, I see Michelle standing in the rain with her very expensive camera on the curb with her husband holding an umbrella over her as she tries to help capture this beautiful moment.”
“How can you not love this picture? There are many reasons we love this picture. 1st- These groomsmen were supportive, helpful and helped keep Josh calm the whole day leading up to the wedding (especially when he thought I was freaking about about the rain). 2nd- Coltyn. Enough said. How cute is he?! 3rd- It is the best picture we got of the GORGEOUS runner my mom and her best friend spent the whole night before the wedding sewing so that I could have my dream runner that I never got to use during our wedding day. But it was at least capture here in this perfect picture which I will forever be grateful for.”
“I LOVE this picture because with all the unexpected obstacles that came our way that day, these ladies were by my side making every moment fun, laid back, and extra special. They never once panicked, made me panic or do anything to cause stress. They just hung out with me on my special day like it was any other girls day. You would never guess with these ladies that it rained at our outdoor wedding and we had no backup plan except prayer and a “just roll with it” attitude.”
(Left) “I think this picture captures the spirit of our whole wedding day. Fun, laid back, and together. Even though things didn’t got as planned, we rolled with the punches, made it work and it turned out to be the most perfect imperfect day, ever.”
(Right) “This one reminds me of my favorite bible verse “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” Which makes my heart happy every time I see it.”
“One of the highlights of the wedding- for both of us- was playing the shoe game and showing everyone how in sync we really are after 7 years of dating. We got a perfect score except for the last question. I loved playing this game and being able to just laugh and have fun with all of our friends and family laughing and sharing this time with us.”
“We love this picture for 2 reasons. First, it is our last picture of the night which in itself is special and something we will always treasure. Second, it is so us. We changed out of our wedding attire. We are comfortable, happy and together. There is no better feeling. And we love having all that captured in one picture.”
Happy first anniversary, Ashley and Josh! Thank you again for allowing us to document your beautiful wedding day.
