If you are still twirling that new diamond around your left ring finger and smiling from the recent proposal, congratulations!! We are so excited for you! And we have a small piece of advice for you. People will soon tell you that “Your wedding day is going to be the best day of your life!” I want to tell you… I hope that it’s not. Ok, let me back up. I truly hope that your wedding is insanely beautiful, perfectly successful, and an insanely fun party. But ultimately, I hope that you will have even better days after the wedding.
Being engaged is such a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, so many couples get wrapped up in wedding planning that they forget to plan for their marriage. Your wedding will last for one incredible day but your marriage will last for the rest of your life. I love this quote by English poet Robert Browning, “Grow old along with me; the best is yet to be.”
The best is yet to be. ♥
If you already find yourself stressed with big wedding decisions, please take a minute to look at your lovely future spouse (give them a big bear hug) and know that you will soon be partners for life. There’s nothing better than that.
Remember, your wedding day will be wonderful but marriage is even better. The best is yet to be.
*Hugs and kisses to my hubby who gives me confidence that this advice is completely true. It gets better every year!

Hey Mich, that’s very beautiful and very wise and true. Thanks for sharing it. If one’s wedding day were the best day of one’s life, all the rest would be anti-climactic, and that wouldn’t give us so much to look forward to. But the relationship, the satisfaction, and the experiences do get deeper as the years go by.
